Welcome to the Pulp and Paper Reliability & Maintenance Conference

Welcome to the Pulp and Paper Reliability & Maintenance Conference
Welcome to the 18th Annual Pulp and Paper Industry Reliability and Maintenance
Conference – the “how-to” conference for people seeking
greater reliability at lower cost.
With a continued weak economy and industry consolidation, the pressure
to produce more at lower cost is even greater than before. Add soft pricing
and oversupply in many grades and we clearly see that it’s each
mill for itself. Corporations have no mercy in closing down or idling
poor performers who show no plan or initiative to return to an acceptable
ROI.
This is a time to act, a time to apply inexpensive technologies, ideas,
work processes and improvements that product cost savings and reliability
improvements. The Pulp & Paper Reliability and Maintenance Conference
and Exhibit has a seventeen year tradition of providing such solutions.
This is a marketplace for reliability and maintenance solutions for your
mill; solutions that you can use in your mill the very next day to increase
profits; to do something faster, better or cheaper.
We hope that you like what you see and hear at this conference, but most
importantly, what this information inspires and enables you to do. Think
about it! If you implement just one of the ideas you get from this event,
it will pay for you trip many times over.
Just like you, we are always working to improve. Our new advisory board
with representation form renowned large multinationals and some of the
remaining small mills, provides valuable speakers and program contents
advice. We survey past and future attendees. Based on all this feedback,
we push each speaker to cram more, how-to advice in each and every presentation.
We have also doubled the number of workshops to deliver more detailed,
hands-on information on many topics from building world class craft skills
to creating your own thermography maintenance program.
The breadth and depth of our program makes this conference an ideal venue
for individuals from all walks of maintenance to find new ideas or solutions
that they can apply in their work environments. Many corporations also
choose to convene one of their own maintenance conferences at this venue
to learn together, to combine our program with their own content.
Again, our goal is to become a marketplace for reliability and maintenance
solutions for you mill. So, round up your colleagues and bring a team
to the Pulp & Paper, Reliability and Maintenance Conference, Atlanta,
GA October 18-22, 2004. We promise to provide you an arsenal of improvement
solutions to help make your mill a prosperous victor in the all out cost
and reliability war.
